I was the girl saying yes to everything.
Overdelivering. Replying to emails at 11PM.
Trying to earn my place by being “easy to work with.”
And from the outside? It probably looked fine.
But inside, I felt completely disconnected from myself. Burnt out. Invisible. Stuck performing a version of success that didn’t even feel good anymore.
Until one day, I realized: I was spending more energy building everyone else’s dream than my own.
So I stopped waiting to be chosen and built kickassdesigner instead.
I got really good at looking “professional.” And completely lost myself in the process. For years, I poured everything into work that wasn’t even mine.
