Kickass

Designer

I was the girl saying yes to everything.
Overdelivering. Replying to emails at 11PM.
Trying to earn my place by being “easy to work with.”

And from the outside? It probably looked fine.

But inside, I felt completely disconnected from myself. Burnt out. Invisible. Stuck performing a version of success that didn’t even feel good anymore.

Until one day, I realized: I was spending more energy building everyone else’s dream than my own.
So I stopped waiting to be chosen and built kickassdesigner instead.

I got really good at looking “professional.” And completely lost myself in the process. For years, I poured everything into work that wasn’t even mine.

I got really good at looking “professional.” And completely lost myself in the process. For years, I poured everything into work that wasn’t even mine.

Somewhere between burnout, rebuilding my life, and trying to remember who I was outside of work, I realized something.

I'd spent years becoming the person everyone else needed me to be. Professional. Reliable. Easy to work with.

Meanwhile, the version of me with opinions, ambition, and slightly bigger dreams had been sitting in the backseat the whole time.

Turns out, she had a lot to say.
And the more women I met, the more I realized I wasn't alone.

The version that played it safe.

The version that second-guessed herself.
The version that kept waiting until she felt ready.

That's why I care so much about the work I do.

So many of us were still introducing the world to an old version of ourselves.

Because it was never really about websites.

It's about helping women stop hiding behind an old version of themselves.

The website just happens to be where we start.

You need one that people remember. Spend their $$$ on. Obsess over. The kind of website you stop apologizing for sending people to. I’m the strategist behind brands with better taste, stronger personalities, and zero interest in blending in.

Because you don’t need a website that’s “pretty enough.”

Making the internet less beige, One “wait… I actually LOVE my website now” at a time, Designing websites that make people say “DAMN”, Zero interest in boring brands.*

*It’s exhausting being this passionate about websites.

DIY websites with trust issues, Copy written at 1AM in a mild identity crisis*, People with no f—ing opinion, Beige in all forms, Doing what’s been done before, Asking permission...

Things That Matter

Things That Make No Sense

In My Spare Time

Thinking about business. Thinking about life. Thinking about what to eat. Usually in that order. It's exhausting, honestly.

An Ideal Evening Looks Like

Tuna sushi with extra chili mayo and kimchi. Extra ginger and wasabi, obviously. White tea on the side. Sweatpants on. Cats nearby. Nowhere to be. Zero regrets.

Make It Make Sense

I can redesign a website in my head faster than I can decide what to watch on Netflix. I have no idea what I want for dinner. Packing for a weekend trip still takes me a week.

Why I have 47 tabs open and need every single one. How there are 8,000 screenshots in my camera roll. Why my Notes app is a mess. And why I'm probably planning my next trip right now.

Ask Me About

Not sick of me yet?

Things I Believe

Things I Know For Sure.

Same Energy, Smaller Desk

You don't need permission.

If I had waited until I knew exactly what I was doing, I'd probably still be waiting.

Order The Extra Ginger.

Obsessed

I don't trust people who ask for less ginger.

That's not based on science.

Just vibes.

I Thought I'd Feel Ready.

Personal

The older I get, the more I realize nobody has it all figured out.

Some people just have better lighting and a stronger LinkedIn presence.
